Hilfiger Denim Presents Its Spring/Summer 2013 Collection at Berlin's Bread & Butter Tradeshow

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (June, 2012) – The Tommy Hilfiger Group, which is wholly owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], is pleased to announce its presence at the 12th edition of Bread & Butter taking place from July 4 to July 6, 2012. The Hilfiger Denim presentation space showcases the brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection inspired by Prep Adventure, which takes consumers on a kaleidoscope journey around the world. The collection uses color, strong silhouettes, patterns and playful prints to reinvigorate American classics with a fresh, international flavor. The Hilfiger Denim handbag and footwear collections will be featured alongside the apparel collection.

"This iconic event creates the perfect environment to present the Hilfiger Denim brand. The new collection captures the youthful, adventurous spirit of the brand – it’s prep with an edge."

The Hilfiger Denim presentation space sends visitors on an adventure as they step into a recreational country manor where they will experience a unique installation that houses the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The multilevel booth includes a sweeping, green hill with a rustic barn nestled in its shadow. Visitors will be able to enter the barn to explore the Spring/Summer collection, which will be displayed on tiered platforms. Afterwards they can take a "country stroll" up the hill, where a hilltop bar awaits to serve them a refreshing drink as they admire the impressive view over the Bread & Butter fair.

The Hilfiger Denim Spring/Summer 2013 collection shares different adventures across three distinct fashion groups: Indigo Prep, India Prep, and Surf Prep.

Indigo Prep is an explosion of blues inspired by sea and sky: indigo chinos with blue-on-blue check for men, or hand-printed polka dot shirts for women. Various shades of blue and indigo are offset with splashes of yellow in details such as belts and hoodie draw chords. Striking hand painted Americana graphics, including deconstructed and embroidered flags, feature strongly.

The adventure continues with the India Prep fashion group where bursts of color appear with Ikat patterns using different yarns as well as Asian-inspired graphics. These ethnic influences are contrast with Americana imagery and motifs. The overall style and feel is a well traveled, pieced together look for men. Details for women are softer using embroidery, hand drawn graphics and destination-inspired imagery. Color blocking is very important in this group, with a base of red, white and blue shot through with pink and peacock blue.

Surf Prep is all about vibrant, sun-washed colors, from blues to oranges, with a "pop" of pink and lime. Hawaiian prints expand the surfer theme alongside vintage surfer-inspired, Polaroid prints. Madras checks on shirts and scarves add a classic prep touch. A key look for men is the garment dyed polo paired with urban surf shorts. Women have a choice between printed bandeau dresses or brightly colored short shorts with a madras check shirt.
