Dave Kozel is a seasoned HR executive who uses a “People First” approach to create strategies that drive results. He currently serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer, PVH Corp.
He is a member of the senior leadership team, overseeing the global Human Resources function, including Talent Management and Development, Compensation/Benefits, HR Systems, Inclusion & Diversity, Global Corporate Communications, Executive Development, PVH Foundation and Facilities.
Dave also works closely with the company’s Board of Directors as an active participant on the compensation, nominating/governance and corporate responsibility committees.
Dave has played an integral role in PVH’s significant transformation from 9,000 North American associates to nearly 40,000 global associates through the acquisitions of Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and Warnaco. As the company evolves, Dave has been at the forefront of the transformation, ensuring HR and the business are aligned partners to support the company’s strategic priorities through the lens of its people.
During his 15+ years at PVH, Dave has introduced a comprehensive portfolio of new policies and programs including: a digital recognition platform, Associate Relief Fund, a total rewards platform, and updated parental leave and flexible work policies. He also launched an Inclusion & Diversity program and PVH University, the company’s award-winning program to support continuous learning, enabling associates to reach their full potential through training, leadership development and exposure to evolving ideas.
Dave has been instrumental in creating and maintaining the company’s unique family culture, cultivating an inclusive, values-driven workplace where associates are empowered to design their own futures. He introduced Inclusion & Diversity Councils and Business Resource Groups to support the company’s diverse talent pool.
Under his leadership, PVH has been certified as a Great Place to Work, named one of Forbes’ Best Employers for Diversity and Women and earned 100% on the HRC Corporate Equality Index. Dave was honored as one of the HR Executives of the Year by the American Business Awards in 2020 and was also named to Human Resource Executive Magazine’s HR Honor Roll in 2018.
Prior to joining PVH in 2003, Dave served as the Executive Vice President of Human Resources for J. Crew and held executive HR positions at Grey Advertising and Deluxe Corporation.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Lehigh University and a Masters Degree in Industrial Relations from University of Illinois.
