January 14, 2020

PVH Chairman and CEO Manny Chirico was named to NRF Foundations’ List of People Shaping Retail’s Future. The NRF Foundation is the philanthropic chapter of the National Retail Federation, which has been around for 100+ years -- it creates opportunities for people looking for a job through its innovative training and credential program, RISE Up.

Manny and 850+ other retail executives, board members and students attended the sixth annual NRF Foundation HONORS event, hosted by CNBC retail reporter Courtney Reagan. Fashion designer Vera Wang presented NRF’s “The Visionary” award to Michelle Gass, CEO of Kohl’s. Other winners included Ann-Marie Campbell, Executive Vice President of the U.S. Home Depot Stores; Kerry Cooper, President and Chief Operating Officer of Rothy’s; Philip Krim, Co-founder and CEO of Casper; and James Reinhart, Co-founder and CEO of thredUP.

Proceeds raised at the event are put towards the Foundation’s initiatives including educational programs, student scholarships and RISE Up. Since 2015, the event has raised $15 million to support the Foundation’s efforts. This year, Manny donated $25 thousand to the NRF Foundation and the event itself garnered a record breaking $4 million to support future retail leaders.

At PVH, we are committed to developing our associates and helping them design their futures since our people are the key to our future success. Additionally, we recognize our responsibility as an industry leader to consider CR throughout our strategic business decisions to positively impact human rights, environmental protection and inclusion and diversity. We outlined a set of ambitious social and environmental targets in our CR strategy, Forward Fashion.

“I have been in this industry for over 40 years and to see the change that has gone on in the industry and to be recognized as someone that is impacting how the industry has been shaped over the last few years is very rewarding,” said Manny.
