PVH Corp. Ranked No. 12 on Barron’s 100
Most Sustainable Companies in America List
February 10, 2020
PVH Corp. ranked No.12 on Barron’s list of 100 Most Sustainable Companies in America for the second year in a row.
PVH outperformed all other apparel companies on the list, including VF Corp. (#21), Levi Strauss & Co. (#52), Gap Inc. (#59), and Tapestry (#87).
Barron’s findings showed that a company’s financial success is directly connected to its focus on and progress toward sustainability commitments, with more than half of the companies on the list outperforming the S&P500 index in 2019. As companies continue to invest in ambitious targets for their environmental and workplace practices, returns are expected to keep outperforming.
PVH has been a leader in placing sustainability at the forefront of our agenda, taking concrete steps to drive fashion forward – for good. Most recently, CEO Manny Chirico expressed PVH’s continued support of the Paris Climate Agreement, reaffirming the importance of climate change policy action within the U.S. government. PVH was the first U.S. based company to commit to the G7 Fashion Pact, a coalition of more than 30 global fashion and textile companies pledging to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry. Recently, our Corporate Responsibility leaders attended the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) roundtable discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos for the launch of The CEO Agenda. This annual publication, co-authored by PVH and other strategic partners, provides a roadmap to address the industry’s largest environmental challenges.
Barron’s annual ranking of public companies measures the 1,000 largest publicly traded companies, defined by market capitalization, incorporated and headquartered in the United States.
