Calvin Klein recently opened its newest lifestyle store in Seongsu, Seoul, further expanding the brand’s presence in one of Asia’s most influential fashion and cultural destinations.
About the Store
Located at 67, Seongsui-ro in the heart of Seongdong-gu, the new three-floor store features a custom design concept that blends Calvin Klein’s signature minimalist design language with the neighborhood's industrial character.
Spanning three stories, the store preserves elements of the building's original structure while introducing Calvin Klein’s warm, modern aesthetic. A large-scale campaign billboard crowns the building’s façade, while Calvin Klein branded flags at the entrance extend the brand’s presence across the exterior. Upon entering, consumers are greeted by a dramatic double-height atrium that serves as the store’s architectural focal point. Featuring curated product displays, custom decorative elements inspired by Seoul and a two-story digital screen showcasing the latest campaigns, the space immediately immerses shoppers in the world of Calvin Klein.
The store brings Calvin Klein's full vision to life, showcasing the brand's iconic denim and underwear alongside transitional outerwear, knits, accessories and key seasonal styles. The first floor is dedicated to denim, while the second floor is anchored in the brand’s signature underwear. Across the two floors, Calvin Klein icons are styled with complementary apparel and accessories, bringing the season’s key looks to life. The third floor houses a dedicated space for styling appointments and elevated consumer experiences.
Throughout the store, original exposed concrete walls and beams are lime-washed in soft off-white tones, complemented by warm neutrals, natural materials and existing blackened cold-rolled steel to create an inviting backdrop for Calvin Klein’s iconic products. Materiality and craft are expressed through locally sourced accents such as straw plaster display tables, stained local pine tables, warm off-white steel fixtures and cash desks and plinths crafted from chiseled Geochang granite. Hanji paper screens are found throughout the store, along with bespoke rugs, paper sconces by Preziosi Lighting, artwork from regional artists and curated vintage objects that create an environment firmly rooted in the local culture.
The Grand Opening Event
To commemorate the store opening, Calvin Klein hosted a grand opening celebration at the store attended by some of the world’s most popular K-pop stars. Mingyu of SEVENTEEN, Yeonjun of TOMORROW X TOGETHER and Ahyeon and Rora of BABYMONSTER attended the celebration wearing the latest Calvin Klein styles.
