“My role as a CED Trustee is one that I value and genuinely enjoy. I’m so proud to have the opportunity to contribute to this incredible organization that’s spearheading reliable research, advocating through outreach and impact programs, and really making a difference where it matters,” said Mr. Chirico in his remarks. “As our world rapidly changes around us, now more than ever we need to come together to enact better policies - regardless of politics. And that’s why CED is so special and plays such an important role representing the reasoned, nonpartisan voice of business on major public policy issues.”
Founded in 1942, the Committee for Economic Development of The Conference Board (CED) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, business-led public policy organization that delivers well-researched analysis and reasoned solutions to our nation’s most critical issues.
In selecting Mr. Chirico for this award, CED noted his strong support for research and programs to help increase women’s representation on corporate boards and in the retail industry. Mr. Chirico also serves as a Business Champion for CED’s “Advancing Women in Corporate Leadership” initiative.
“In both their companies and communities, Manny and all of CED’s 2018 Honorees exemplify leadership at the highest caliber,” said Bernard C.
