PVH Corp. signs the International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry

PVH Corp. has signed a new agreement on Bangladesh fire and building safety - the International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry.

Signing the new agreement reflects PVH’s ongoing commitment to health and safety across our supply chain, and our commitment to Bangladesh as a key sourcing country. We were one of the first companies – and the first U.S. company — to commit in 2013 to the first Bangladesh Accord on Fire and Building Safety, and were members of the Transition Accord, which has operated since 2018. PVH has a 96% issue remediation rate, one of the highest of any Accord member.

Chaired by the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Accord has made a demonstrative positive impact upon fire, structural, electrical and occupational safety in Bangladesh’s readymade garment industry. Together with industry partners, trades unions, NGOs and other brands, we are pleased to have signed this new agreement that builds on this progress and will continue efforts to ensure safe factories in the Bangladesh garment industry, as well as further strengthening health and safety commitments in other key sourcing countries. We remain dedicated to not only helping to address current issues, but to making a lasting contribution toward a more resilient and sustainable future for our industry.
